What is Year 6 Leadership?
Year 6 leadership includes various responsibilities and duties that year 6 students perform to represent their peers; promote a positive school culture and contribute to the well-being of the school community. These responsibilities include the following:
- Serve as a Role Model for Younger Students - Sixth-year leaders serve as role models for younger students by demonstrating positive behaviour; upholding school values and fostering respect and responsibility.
- Promote School Culture and Participation - The 6th year Leader actively participates in school events; encourages peer participation and contributes to a vibrant and inclusive school culture.
- Representing the Student Voice - The level 6 Leader bridges students and school administration; communicating student concerns; suggestions and opinions.
- Year 6 Leaders are part of various school initiatives including planning events, promoting school values, and supporting school-wide programs.
Why is Year 6 Leadership Important?
Year 6 leadership provides numerous benefits to the individual students who participate and the school community. For students, it provides opportunities to such as:
